Alpha Transport Inc. is one of the largest petroleum transporters in the Western United States. It is essential that our equipment operates safely and efficiently. Alpha Transport Inc. has a clean heated 4 bay drive through enclosed shop, drive through wash bay and tire room to perform maintenance and repairs to our fleet. Alpha Transport Inc. is looking for a knowledgeable, efficient, safe, and quality oriented Truck and Trailer Mechanic. This mechanic will be responsible for a broad range of maintenance and repairs on our equipment.

Responsibilities, are but not limited to:

Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with equipment
Preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment
Major and minor repairs
Air and electrical system troubleshooting and repairs
Minor diesel engine repairs

Suspension, brake systems and component repairs
Tire maintenance
Maintain clean and organized work area
Perform other related duties as required or assigned

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license

Clean driving record
Basic computer skills
Must own tools

Preferred:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in truck and trailer maintenance
DOT certified in FHWA Inspection & Air Brakes

Welding experience
CDL Class A driver’s license
